 Vice President -CONSTRUCTION

B Roles & Responsibilities:
· Prepare construction plan, co-ordinate & supervise the civil construction of commercial & residential buildings etc for its scheduled accomplishment.
· Facilitate, co-ordinate, consolidate and prepare construction budget and strive to complete the construction within the budgeted estimate.
· Assist/prepare and update construction manual, safety manual and SOPs and ensure their compliance.
· Prepare quality policy, quality specification and ensure quality construction as envisaged by the design for customer enlightenment.
· Estimation of materials and planning for resources like equipments, manpower etc for the construction.
· Review of drawings, study reports, proposals etc.
· Facilitate & co-ordinate data collections like material/equipment specification, supplier, material rates from the supplier, including the import items.
· System development & process establishment specifically key to success for construction activity.
· Plan, co-ordinate and execute the activities related to selection of contractors, project management consultants, construction equipments etc.
· MIS design, implementation and record keeping.
· Assist reporting officer in administrative work like performance target settings for sub-ordinates, performance evaluation, grievance handling, leave authorization etc.
· Monitor the project activities, compare with the scheduled activities. Suggest/assist the higher ups for mid course corrections, preventive & corrective actions.
· Identify ways and means to optimize the project cost with effective & efficient utilization of the resources.
· Ensure the compliance of all regulatory, quality & safety related compliance.
· Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project. Confer with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
